Surprisingly mature answer from Gil, glad to hear they talked it out. Maybe now people can stop annoying Bilal about picking the number.
Love this. I fell in love with the Wizards right after I moved back to the area and they signed Gilbert.
He is one of the more complex figures in basketball and had one of the more complicated, interesting, (and sad) careers when he was in the league. I particularly thought his comments about 0 being raised to the rafters were interesting, as well as his comments about Westbrook. You can sense there’s some thoughtful regret in his voice mixed with the stubborn Gil pride.

Agent Zero has always been rooting for the next generation of wizards players. Not a fan of his history of antics but Hibachi was an instrumental figure in my wizards fandom for sure.
