Fred is overrated definitely not worth $130 million max for 3 years. I’m glad he gone he a ball hog the raptors can’t win with him as our point guard. The reason we got nothing for Fred is the same reason we didn't trade Lowry, and Gary Trent and Fred. They were all saying they wanted to come back and the Raptors were fleeced by their own players. The only reason I think Gary came back was because he knew Fred was leaving before the Raptor's did and if Fred came back he might have bolted. and Lowry did the same thing and we got nothing for him too except maybe Precious.
Why would he sign with them? ( other than money) Green, Thompson, Smith Jr, Sengun, Fred?!! He wants to play with a young core in the WEST!!? the west is very DEEP good luck

Could have got couple draft picks for him…Masai let another asset walk again smh. The Rockets knew the Raptors couldn't go toe to toe in bidding war with them. Why? Because of that luxury tax first and second apron, ask the Chicago Bulls how much they pay the NBA to keep Demar, Zach Lavigne, an injured Lonzo Ball and their Vulcivic extension, that core together Bobby Mark's said about 45- 50 million a season in taxes withe new CBA per player I believe.

Starting to dislike some fans of this team. Yea Toronto shouldn't have signed him back at this price tag or really anything over what they were paying him on his last contract. But to see fans shitting on FVV just makes me sick. Dude helped us win a title who knows if he get past the Bucks without FVV getting hot during that series. And who knows if they beat the Warriors without his defense on Steph or the clutch shots he hit at the end of the game 6.
The Rockets are the ones who lost in this deal. The overpaid for Fred big time. They're not going anywhere with him there. Raptors got to find that unknown player who has a high basketball IQ, who can be the floor general and pass the ball around effectively. It's not Barnes, Banton, or Flynn. I say steal the best point guard available in the international league. There are a lot of hidden gems out there around the world who've been missed.
