  1. Whether we like it or not, our starting point guard is Dennis SchrΓΆder

  2. This is what all the Toronto sports reporters will say in a week, once they realize there’s nothing to gain hyping FVV anymore and on to the next guy.

I’m sorry this fanbase is so delusional. These posts aren’t cute. Magic was the best PG who has ever played the game and easily a top 7 NBA player all-time. In Magic’s first season, he was ROY, All-Star, Finals MVP, and NBA Champion. In his third year season, he had over 700Β points, 700Β rebounds, and 700Β assists, was named All-NBA, All-Star, and won his second championship, and second Finals MVP.

I love Scottie and he’s going to be a good point-forward but he can’t shoot, he can’t create separation off the dribble, and his processing speed needs to continue to improve. A PG has to be able to shoot or have a first-step or dribble package that allows them to beat perimeter defenses for the drive and kick. To this point, Scottie hasn’t shown an ability to do either. It’s that simple. He still might become a capable point guard but he’s not going to step into that role next season.

Scottie will be starting PG and Dennis will be coming off the bench which is perfect.
