A developmental coaching staff gets a developmental project. If he adds a consistent jumper or even a mid range jumper, we could have something here. Defense is great. Rim pressure is great. Just needs a jumper, which is easier said than done.

I feel like it’s been ages since we’ve had an uber athletic guard that likes to attack. Sumner is that, but he’s too fast for his own good, and blows easy bunnies.

Seems like a good piece and I’m gonna like him, but he doesn’t really seem like the distributor we needed at PG, I thought we’d have made a move for Tyus Jones or Monte Morris since Dinwiddie isn’t cut out to be a lead guard. Our only hope now is for Ben to come back to form and have him be that guy

If you guys remember, Bruce Brown used to be fucking dogshit at shooting 3s. It was a much shorter sample size than DSJ but it simply wasnât apart of his game his years in Detroit and first year in Brooklyn. It wasnât until 2022 where he really worked on it, developed it a lot and then honed it in Denver.
DSJ fits that archetype. Downhill guard that plays fantastic defense but doesnât have a great shot. Nets are good at finding guys that can improve vastly and considering DSJ is the definition of a grinder, I think he can expand his game.
