I couldn’t agree more, I think sasser is much more of a SG than PG. Sasser is actually more of a fit for Killian than Cade or Ivey are for Killian because Sasser is a knockdown shooter who can lock up smaller guards.
Damn I was hoping I wouldn’t have to see killian anymore.
Interesting take that Sasser could be that scorer off the bench to take over Burks role. Sasser has more of a scorers mentality than Killian which would allow Killian to just concentrate on playmaking & defending. Fans need to stop with these player comps, jmo
i understand that sasser isnt more of a shooting guard BUT.. he is very good as a ball handler.
i dont hate killian, but i want to see sasser get more chances than our 4th year underperforming guard

If he's playing well, especially with Cade and Ivey he'll get the minutes.
Let''s don't forget that there were many injuries last year and what at times was a good bench unit , didn't play together much. Hopefully this year we have more stability in the first and Second units.
They should have let Killian go instead of Hampton. I’m tired of watching Killian jacking up poor shots.

I just watched Alabama vs Houston. Sasser is not a PG. He's a 2.
He didn't bring the ball up the court 1 time.
He actually got shutdown by Nimari Burnett, 6'4", G, thats now committed to play at Michigan
Sasser went 2-11 fg, 5-7 ftl, 9 points, 0 steals, 0 blocks.
The announcers said several times that Nimari wouldn't allow Sasser to even get the ball via pass, it was pretty crazy.
I say this because you would think they would've had him carry the ball up if he was being denied so hard but nope

Brandon Miller went 0-8 from the floor. Jarace Walker rejected him down low 1 time pretty aggressively.
Sasser just had a bad game. He has shot 45% on catch and shoot over last 2 years, elite shooting that we need.

Do people really think gms think about replacing X player lol he’s drafting talent the goal is to uprgrade talent not worry about who needs to be replaced. If killian is a serviceable player for what the team is looking for they’ll keep him if he still sucks he’ll be gone. The talent and ability on the team will determine if an individual is apart of the teams future. Seems to me like sasser can play with killian or run his own unit like killian so if killian is in the equation it’s on him. It’s not like they drafted a dude 25th and now all of sudden they can just cut killian loose they’re going to want bodies at any given position

Killian Hayes is basically what Ron Lee was to the Pistons before Isiah Thomas arrived in 1981.
Lee was a band aid that was put in place until Isiah stopped the bleeding .
I'm sorry Killian Hayes is a nice dude but if he's the best Detroit can do at point guard, we might as well roll Don Chaney out and let him coach on the sidelines.
Sasser should take that spot from Day 1 and not look back.

Yes.. Sasser is the replacement for Killian Hayes. HAYES had his chance last year to show us something when Ivey went down. He's been a disappointment and i think he's gonna be a throw in for a upcoming trade…WATCH
