The Nets can theoretically offer a package involving a combination of up to seven first-round picks, C Nicolas Claxton, PG Spencer Dinwiddie and his $20.36 million expiring contract, coveted wings in Royce O’Neale and Dorian Finney-Smith, and first-round picks Noah Clowney and Dariq Whitehead.

There are obviously way better offers, but if Dame wants Miami then there’s not a lot you can do.

The one name that can give brooklyn an advantage imo is Claxton. Clowney is intriguing as well.

+ Mikal is his boy right, have fun winning

I’ve been adamant about fighting a Claxton trade but he’s up for extension and The Nets never pay their Bigs so if they really want Dame (they shouldn’t because he doesn’t make us contenders), I could see Nic becoming available 😢

    Now this is the way.

He will suit up for the Nets, and Nets want him. Let’s do it.

Just give us claxton, Ben Simmons (we eat the contract) , noah Clowney and 5 frp. We will give them nurk and dame.

So we just taking their whole team eh, lmao

Brace yourself.. This is gonna take a while

I want Claxton, Royce, DFS and four firsts. Give them Nurk too.

  10. From the Nets point of view their trade package would be Dinwiddie, Royce, Clowney, 2 frp and maybe that Phoenix swap in 28. There’s little to no chance they give Clax + bunch of picks, they just went through the meat grinder of trading everything for a star and won’t be looking to relive that. If Portland demands Nurk goes out also, no swap, and possibly swap Dinwiddie with Simmons or Brooklyn has 2 massive trade exceptions.

Now we are starting the conversations. Miami needs to see this and realize they got ‘93 Buick they are trying to pawn off on us as a Rolls

They aren’t going to want to trade Claxton since if they are moving a bunch of picks for Dame, they will want to compete right away.

Clowney and Whitehead are 18 year olds just drafted, so good for a rebuild. 6’10” and 6’7″ so not a ton of overlap. I like both of them as prospects.

I think something like Simmons, Clowney, Whitehead, 2025 PHX, 2027 PHX, 2027 PHI, 2028 BKN is a nice package. Essentially 6 firsts and we take Simmons contract (expires in two years so we are off of it by the time we need to pay anyone other than Grant)

He’ll need that $250 million for a year’s rent in Brooklyn.
    Let’s do it.

There are reasonable Nets packages that I like and none from MIA that I find interesting. I have heard that the Hawks have interest in DFS and Royce, so a deal that sends one of those guys to ATL with Hunter headed to Portland with Claxton (Nurkic needs to go to Brooklyn) is interesting. I think Portland would need to take on Simmons’ salary, but they would leave Brooklyn with a dang good team, especially if Dinwiddie/one of Royce or DFS and most other key role players stay.
