hoping he cleans up that one dribble past the three point line into a long 2 out of his game. Take the 3 or get to floater/lay range pls.

Seeing Johnny in the last third of the season gave me hope. However, here are some of his problems and how I think they can be worked around:
He’s not a good shooter, he seems to really struggle to get to the rim (his vertical seems very weak), and he doesn’t seem to dribble very well.
Now, he did a lot of the things to counteract that. I think he slowly learned his role, which often doesn’t happen to players until way later.
He cuts very well, has a clean floater, and is extremely sticky on defense. With players like Deni, Poole and Kuz, he’ll be able to get easy buckets cutting to the rim, as well as take the pressure off the ball handlers. He’s a high energy guy.
He’s low-key one of the those guys that would do much better starting than coming off the bench. He’s a great Robin to better, ball-demanding players. If he’s asked to lead a bench unit, I don’t think he’s right for that role.
