  1. It's a really smart signing. It's not like fvv alone makes the Rockets a 45 win team, the progession should still happen naturally but with a far better lead playmaker.

And like you said they're guaranteed to get 2 prime years of fvv and then if they want can cut ties with him if he begins to decline.

  2. Sengun will take the next step. they have 3 top 5 picks in the starting lineup. Green, Smith Jr, Thompson. By the end of FVV contract they have to see which of these 4 young guys will be part of their core 2 or 3 players. the top 12 looks set in the west for the next couple years

  3. Udoka got his hands full… I say this as a Rockets fan, there are some baaaad habits that are gonna have to be drilled out of these dudes, I really hope Udoka really does bench Green and KPJ for effin around on defense

  4. I am hyped about the FVV signing, the way he talks about culture and vets makes me think he will have a positive impact on the young dudes. Dillion Brooks not so sure about, even though he was a hustle dude or whatever not sure that translates to being a good mentor. Seemed like they didn’t like him much in Memphis ngl

  5. Fred is going to do heavy lifting and help shoulder the foundational intricate changes 🎉🏀

  6. More importantly, how will this affect LeBron's legacy 🤔

  7. Raptors fan here. I was relieved the team didn’t resign him. Fred can’t throw alley-oop passes, and has a selfish streak. Get ready for low efficiency scoring and blow-byes when matched up with quick guards.

  8. Respectfully I don’t think either of these guys know anything about the rockets. Jalen was a serviceable and willing on-ball defender last season, Kevin Porter has bought in the most out of any rockets player (he was the only player present at several offseason events and the whole bad locker room guy idea has been untrue for a while now), and coach Silas did absolutely nothing to put his players in a position to succeed. Silas himself admitted to not running plays for jabari and he did nothing to create an offensive scheme other than chucking threes and playing 1 on 5. Udoka is exactly what this team needs to improve.

  9. 3rd year is a team option. Rockets needed to spend the money on someone. Rockets are better than Raptors too. Udoka and FVV both know it. We wanted no parts of Harden.

  10. Oh yeah, compete for a title… Yeah, bc that's all that matters.😂. FOH. Players care about playing for a title so it increases their market value. FVV capitalized. Rockets need a culture change. FVV, Jeff Green, and Brooks offer that
