Brian Windhorst says the Sixers might land Damian Lillard right now if they offered Tyrese Maxey “I think Maxey is the prime piece. And again, if Philadelphia was making that offer, Dame Lillard might be in Philly right now, but they are not.”

  1. Fuckin doubt it. We’d probably need to trade Maxey, Harden, and Tobi just to have the assets to beat the Heat’s offer.

Highly doubt that, its gonna take more than Maxey and Tobias to make this happen

Such as picks we don’t have

Windy is putting in way too much work for Daryl this week, there’s no way this is true lol.

Even if the option to get Lillard is available for Maxey, I would hope they’re also ready to get solid role players on this team. Cause if they’re actually going to go all, 100%, in… Embiid and Lillard aren’t going to be enough to win it all without decent bench to help.

Especially when the sixers should still try and get a good seed in the regular season, especially given they probably won’t want to play either 30 year old that much.

Geez, I just love this part of the off-season. Every talking head just says everything because they realize even a blind squirrel gets a nut every once in a while

Man I would hate this, but it’s fucking Dame. Maxey is like the one unequivocally positive thing that’s happened to this team since forever. I really think it would be the right move though.

Pretty sure Windhorst is carrying water for the Blazers FO to get the Heat to give up the farm. Realistically Blazers has Scoot and Ant in their backcourt. I don’t see them trading for Maxey only to pay him 5yr/207 by next summer

  8. Does Windy talk about any other team besides us

  9. Amandasch44

Every year we go thru this with trade talk, it’s worse than a soap opera. If we would’ve kept Joel, Ben, Dario, RoCo, Reddick, Rodriguez and Hollis we could’ve been so good.

Is there anyway to trade Maxey and Tobias or something for Dame and then tell Harden to shut up for a year we’re going for a championship.

    Big 3.

  11. Windy is the literal only person at espn other than Kevin neghandi that actually wants good things to happen to Philly teams

    This is an OG call

    We’re keepin em!

Oh boy the Philadelphia Maxey fans are out in full force today I see

This is killing my joy and I feel very uncomfortable.

In Lillard’s third season he averaged 21.0 pts, 4.6 reb, and 6.2 ast in 35. 7 MPG.

Last year Maxey averaged 20.3 pts, 2.9 reb, and 3.5 ast in 33.6 Mpg, but as a 2 guard or sixth man, not at point.

With his work ethic, could he keep developing into a Dame-level player? That’s the question. There is a chance – not sure how high – but certainly a chance as I believe Dame was 24 in his 3rd season.

That’s why I think it’s risky to give him up (plus more) in a Dame trade.

I really don’t see us in on the Dame sweepstakes. The Blazers already have 2 young, small guards on the roster in Simons & Scoot. If I were the Blazers then I would want some of OKC’s young players like Giddey, Jalen Williams, Lu Dort and picks galore.
