So Brian, you’re telling me it’s a contract negotiation.
LarBrd33
What’s the max he can get as a free agent next offseason?
moyni7
Would you offer him the regular max (same as what he could get from another team) if it came with a NTC? I know the relationship’s not a 10/10 right now and we just saw a NTC get weaponized with Beal but I still feel like that could be a really valid option if both sides are serious about winning
Robinho999
its not my money so i don’t care but 295mil for jaylen brown is wild
ignoramus_x
Windhorst deserves more criticism for his editorialized coverage of the Celtics this offseason. Just blatant pandering and shit stirring.
Greennhornn
I trust Windhorst as far as any human could throw him.

Fragile? Must be Italian

Jaylen literally said about a month ago that most of the stuff reported by the media is bs. Marcus came out yesterday and said that Jaylen is like a brother despite the media saying they butted heads in the locker room. ESPN hates the C’s and are always trying to sew the seeds of dissension within our team. With that being said, what if negotiations are fragile? aaaahh!. LUL

So ESPN fires jalen rose and they keep this guy and Perkins?? Two bloody moronic sports commentators.
Drawing_The_Line
Why does everyone here appear so unhappy about what he said? Nothing he is saying seems so off base or incorrect, is it the term “fragile” that is making people upset? I don’t think what he’s reporting is so egregious as to disparage the messenger.

This guy sucks
Wonderful_Eagle_6547
So basically this is the same as every contract. Both sides have to agree on it. Except in this case, one side is a team that wants to contend with no way to replace this all-NBA wing because they are way over the cap even without him and the other side is a guy who would have to take a $100m haircut to sign with someone else.
This deal is getting done.

How many glizzies you think it takes to fill up that neck? Windhorst has a neck built to compete with Joey Chestnutt.
Ok_Acanthaceae6057
I have the upmost faith that they get it done within a week or so.
Beantown_Kid
Great example of the reason why ESPN has needed to cut fat from its budget right here. Amazing “analysis” lol

This dude is trash. He rode LeBrons coattails to relevance. I don’t believe a word out of his mouth

What an idiot. He is the worst part of LeBron being in the league.

Offer JB 26% of cap.
JDROD28
Brian has good sources around the NBA, but none of those are in Boston lol, I’ve never heard a good report about the Celtics coming from him
PumpPie73
Can these people just shut up? Everything needs to be a controversy.
