This is now 2 unselfish players doing 2 very unselfish things, taking less than they could have gotten for the betterment of the team: Julius Randle, and now Josh Hart (not counting any extension in August). These are guys that want to be here. Who want to have that vested interest in building something "here", not just anywhere. These are guys who are invested in this team – and Josh just got here. There are valid arguments for IQ to come down off that number. Quick had a pretty rough 21-22 season. He had a fantastic 22-23 season and then froze in the playoffs like a deer in headlights giving us nothing when we needed him most and arguably hurting. Obi, same year in the league as Quick, with less opportunity, played like more of a season pro in the post season than IQ who has been given countless opportunities. Obi wasn't scared. I'd hate to see IQ go but if he doesn't move off this number to something more reasonable, I think it's inevitable and I'd say good luck, young buck. Don't compare to Jordan Poole. Poole got his bag and then disappeared in the 22-23 season. The Athletic did a blind poll and the majority of FOs came in off that #.

I like Quickley but he can start on some teams and ball out and get bigger contract. We can't give him that. Hate to loose him but it's inevitable. Same with Obi, he would get solid minutes on some teams and he knows it. We need to get value for them before they just leave.

According to Keith Smith, Spotrac, if they told Hart 4/80, they'll simply extend him for the remainder 3/67.5….opt in was 1/12.5….hope this make sense.

Knicks might include Quickly in a trade to get OG Anunoby from Toronto. Because they gonna loose VanVleet to free agency. McBride would become our backup for Brunson.
