Why Damian Lillard is 100% NOT BEING TRADED to the Miami Heat

With Damian Lillard recent trade request (which seems about 4 years overdue) Portland is now forced to decide between loyalty towards Dame or their fans. The choice should be obvious, but the NBA, media, and fans everywhere seem to have lost perspective.

  1. It seems to me that your not making this video because it wont be possible for him to go to the heat, but for the sole fact that you don't want the Miami Heat to make it out of the east again and just want Dame to go anywhere else but the Heat.

  2. I understand what your coming from, but dame is not a KD, Kyrie or harden. He stayed on that blazers team for way longer than he should’ve. I think the front office should listen to his desired destinations

  3. Herro/Robinson/Jovic/Jaquez + picks is an amazing trade for Dame. Not many teams have an offer to beat that

  4. I was bourn, and raised in Portland and love Dame more than any player ever. But he can't go to Miami there's nothing that they are willing to give up that Portland needs.

  5. Blazers will trade Dame to a title contender to make him happy. Dame doesn’t want to be in another situation like Portland.

  6. Good luck trying to sell Loyalty to future Free Agents and New Players like Scoot. If Portland doesn’t send him to Miami, they will bury their franchise.

  7. This makes sense but you also have to keep in mind that Lillard is publicly stating that he wants to end up in Miami. Opposing teams are interested in Lillard but they know about this fact, and if a team like the Pistons still trades for him anyway what's stopping Lillard from pulling a Harden or Simmons? They have no assurance that he'll stay like they want him to. The Trailblazers are bound to get fleeced in the upcoming days

  8. A rare L take by FMS (in my opinion) for two reasons

    1) teams want to show players they take care of their guys (it’s the same reason Kobe got the huge contract at the end of his career) if the team screws Dame over, free agents will favor other teams over Portland

    2) if Portland trades him to team bad team Dame can just request another trade or hold out. It would put the new team in the same position as Portland where the star doesn’t want to be there and no team wants that

There is no guarantee he will land in Miami, but for sure a place he is satisfied. the star has almost always been in the driver seat after requesting a trade

  9. Portland isn't going to tell Dame to shut up and play where he's told. He's been their most impactful player in franchise history and has done everything right by them. It would set a horrible example for any players looking to come to Portland or get drafted by Portland. If they did that to Dame Lillard they will certainly do it to them. They're going to do right by him and Miami has assets they can give up with a third team involved. Tyler Herro and picks are great assets that third teams are exploring.

Philly won't give up Maxey, Utah is not a championship contender, Boston can't afford his contract and won't part with Jaylen Brown after already giving up marcus smart (and Dame also specifically said he does not want Boston). Not to mention teams won't be willing to give up Dame level assets for him if he has stated he does not want to play for them. The writing is on the wall already. If he wants Miami, he's going to get Miami and Pat Riley is not letting this slip like KD or Harden when he was good. All other talk is just delusional wishful thinking from fans of teams who the Heat will inevitably crush when this trade happens.

  10. Why start now though ? Remember AD wanting to only go to LAL? Situations like this have always happened…..and will always keep happening.

  11. I think what u not understanding is even thou Dame doesn’t have a no trade clause he still holds significant power. If Dame is saying he only wants to play for the Heat what team in their right mind is going to give up assets for someone who doesn’t want to be there. He’ll be a disgruntled superstar the organization is paying 50+million plus he’s on the older/smaller side for top Superstars 2nd if Portland doesn’t do right by Dame from a players perspective they will be tarnished. Nobody already wants to go there. After the loyalty (11years) Dame has giving them they just don’t care what he wants Current and Future players would notice that. If I’m Heat I’m doing them a favor by giving them Herro. Me personally I would give they sorry self Kyle Lowry Duncan Robinson Jovic and 2 first. That’s basically 3 first rd picks an expiring co tract with Lowry and a sharp shooter

  12. Oh yeah, he can't get traded to the Heat but you think he can get traded to Detroit if the money's right. You are seeing an acceptable offer by Detroit but not by Miami. Even if the front office does what they want and trade him to another team, the other team will just trade Dame again to Miami and they will happily accept Herro and draft picks; not to mention Yurtseven and Robinson, regardless of what you think of them as assets. Also, thinking that "doing right by Dame" is nonsense and that the front office has no obligation to respect what he wants doesn't take into consideration the impact his unhappiness could have on the dynamic of the rest of the team; I doubt if another team can make a better offer than Miami and I'd like you to provide offers by Boston, Brooklyn and whoever else you'd like Dame to go to in order for your video to not become an embarrassment. Also, why don't you respond to @loganfn7 ? Do they make too much sense?

  13. Portland like… give us a black player and some more picks and you got a deal 🙂 jk

  14. There’s a reason why the trade will include a 3rd party. Let’s say Brooklyn.

    Blazers get
    Duncan
    Simmons OR DFS
    Caleb Martin
    3 Firsts on Miamis side
    1 Second from Miami

    Brooklyn gets
    Herro
    Lowry(end up cutting him)
    Nurkic

    Miami gets
    Lillard
    Simmons/DFS

  15. “nba stars have gone out of their way to prove there’s no loyalty on their end” 1:38 where is portland’s loyalty to putting a good team around dame? maybe if they didn’t have an incompetent front office, they wouldn’t be in this situation. it’s clear they’re not doing anything to help build a contender so why not give their franchise player an opportunity to compete after the endless years of disappointment? you just drafted a future all star and this is how you want to show him how you treat your franchise players? a complete joke

  16. The Blazers are loaded with young talent. How are draft picks not enticing for him. Lottery picks or not

  17. You a Hater. Your probably 1 of them people that cant stand the city of Miami and the Miami heat organization are the shit so you hate like crazy. Dame's coming to Miami 1 way or another
