No team is going to send a big serious offer to Portland for a star that doesn’t want to play for you and it would be a bad idea to do so for a lot of reasons. There’s a delicate balance to find here where we give up value while still retaining the key components that make us a contender (depth provided by JJJ and Jovic). It’d be a different story if Dame was like 25 and not a 33-year-old. In two years when Jimmy & Dame are looking up nursing homes and sharing pics of their kids, we’re gonna need some kind of youth on the roster.
