$18mill/year seems like such an easy number for us to offer at this point. I’m frankly confused about why we haven’t done it already. Surely we aren’t offering below $15mill and that’s the source of delay in the negotiations? I feel like its just not great business to pry one of your core players like that. $18mill feels pretty fair for a guy as important as he is to our success. Maybe it is a little high, but that’s the price we pay for low balling him last offseason
At some point we have to stop farming draft picks and keep some of them on the team right?

You’re going to pay LaMelo $260mill over 5 years, and you can’t pay this man $18 mill a year for three to four years? How many games did LaMelo play last year? It was less than 40. Stop messing around and offer PJ the contract he wants.
