Whatever tf Brad is doing better be worth it. I’m annoyed. I wanted Grant. I think he is valuable.

  2. HailKyrie

I get matching but also understand not matching bc the second apron is so shit. Will miss him!

He wouldn’t play all that much for us when our squad is fully healthy. I still think we need one more depth front court piece due to injury concerns, and like I said earlier today, I don’t think they even need to be as good as Grant.

So he probably gets 12/13/14/15? Trade exception is half of his outgoing salary, so it’s a $6 million trade exception and a couple seconds… okay…!

Wyc doesn’t wanna pay grant that much. This isn’t on brad entirely, but let’s see if this leads to something else

Despite Grant shortcomings, he was okay guarding Embiid and Giannis. Now I’m kinda worried as we’re left with 2 injury prone guy and an elderly left to guard them.

  7. Celtics finally get a big only to lose a big then complain why they can’t defend bigs

  8. Safehouseunfollow

We couldn’t just keep him? Wtf?

  9. caelen727

He’s not worth $13 million a year at the end of the day. He’s a solid role player, but even if they had the money, I’d rather spend it elsewhere

  10. PointlessDelegation

Wow so we did end up shit-canning all of our 2019 draft picks lol

  11. danorcs

It’s 13million for us fans but 50 for wyc. Not sure if it’s a Brad thing ownership cheaped out

  12. JonTheHobo

Love Grant but he’s replaceable, especially at that price

  13. WooNoto

What was the rumored offer from the Celtics last year? Felt like this was low to lose Grant over. But I get it.
    Good luck to Grant thooo

  14. nebbywildcat18

sayonara pal, definitely did not want to keep at that price

If this is to get Dame, OK but now we are going to have too many stars that need the ball. There will need to be a change in player expectations for carrying the load. It could work out if the team works together like a loaded 80s Celtics or Lakers team but it won’t work if they all expect to get fed the same as when they were 1 of 1 or 1 of 2 stars on a team.

    Tatum gets the most shots
    Then Dame
    Then Brown
    Then KP.

If Brown goes as part of this trade, it might actually work out better.

Creates about a 13 mil TPE. That could be very valuable mid-season after we know more about our roster needs.

Trading Grant on this little contract? Just match, come on now!!

  18. efshoemaker

If this is a straight cap dump and there’s not another move in the works this off-season I’m gonna be really annoyed.

  19. AdmiralWackbar

Odds on Grant getting into it with Luka or Kyrie this year?

  20. TippyTAHP

Our entire team is becoming unrecognizable. Brad better know what he’s doing or imma cry.

  21. willreily

I think it’s smart given the CBA. Sucks to lose that versatile defender but with all the draft capitol Celts can pivot this offseason, mid-season and in the future and get role players around JT, JB, and KP.

  22. Really hoping there’s more to this. So far looking like a bad move.
