SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Brandon Miller, the 2nd overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, said he was having fun after the Charlotte Hornets loss to the San Antonio Spurs on the first day of the California Classic Summer League but things have not changed for him on the floor. He missed his only shot, had five assists, and committed 6 fouls in the first half of the Hornets’ 98-83 loss to the Golden State Warriors on the final day. ✍
Miller didn’t score until he made a basket at the 5:30 mark of the fourth quarter. At this point, he was 1 for 3 from the field. He finished with 6 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, 8 fouls, and 4 turnovers.✍
Former UCLA standout Amari Bail finished with a team-high 17 points, and four rebounds in 17 minutes for the Hornets. The 19-year-old was chosen by Charlotte with the 41st pick in the second of round the 2023 NBA Draft. Bailey has had the opportunity to play high school (Sierra Canyon), college (UCLA), and now NBA games (Charlotte Hornets) on the floor of Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento.✍
