[Tony East] Tyrese Haliburton’s contract does NOT contain a player option, per source. Full 5 years. 15% trade kicker, and any All-NBA team selection will bump it up to the 30% max.

Enjoyed this moment in the press conf earlier
Haliburton: I’m super appreciative to Herb Simon and the whole Pacers organisation for believing in me from Day 1, I’m going to be here for the next… uh, how many years?
Pritchard: 15 years
😂😂😂
Great sign for our long term. Hes our guy.
Super happy about this, no player option is a big deal, considering many guys like Tatum and Mitchell got a fifth year PO for their rookie extension.
Works for me. Can’t wait to watch his career
Hali has an incentive to now play at least 65 games this season. Hopefully he gets All NBA.
So, for all intents and purposes, he’s got a 30% trade kicker. Nice
So if he gets All-NBA any of the years in his contract, will the following years result in him getting the max?
Ex.: he gets all-nba 3rd year in his contract. Will he get the max in years 4 and 5?
Haliburton is the kind of player that makes everybody on his team remarkable better and other guys in the league see that and want to play with him. I can see some big players potentially jumping ship to our team in the future. I don’t remember the Pacers ever having a guy like that before and making him our long term guy makes me very happy.
