Is Chris Paul enough to bring Steph Curry and Draymond Green back to NBA Finals? | Hoops Tonight

Jason Timpf breaks down the Golden State Warriors offseason moves to try and get Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson back to the NBA Finals. The Warriors added Chris Paul in a trade that sent Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards, added veteran point guard Cory Joseph, and drafted power forward Trayce Jackson-Davis out of Indiana as well. Is this enough to get the Warriors back over the hump?

  1. Yall acting like cp 10 years ago, he slower injury prone, pick roll guard that we don't even run pick roll we don't even have pick roll players…worst gm ever

  2. It begrudges me to say this as a Celtics fan, but the Warriors and Lakers will both be better next year (assuming their stars stay healthy).

  3. Absolutely love Jason! I’ve been nba fan 40 years! I hate most analysts. I started watching the volume because of this guy! I learn and love understanding what I’m watching, player’s skills, team – all of it! I have NOT FOUND anyone who gives this excellent coverage and breakdown! If I want to understand something- I look for Jason.

  4. Chris is a grown man and respected by the players association, he can do anything🤔

  5. I HOPE DUNLEAVY IS NOT DONE…I really think they should sign a good roller to play PnR with CP3 in that second unity as dray rests. Or maybe a shooting big like Saric and hope Kuminga can become a solid roller

  6. All of the quality bigs are gone, so the Warriors aren’t getting bigger. I think the hope now is that Kuminga and Moody take leaps and they are effectively 2 brand new signings that can really contribute.

  7. Not debating what CP3 can do for the team. It’s for nothing if he isn’t available in the playoffs which has been the case for him the last few seasons. That’s why the trade didn’t make sense for me. Still can’t believe it.

  8. this is the same video from the other day about the warriors my guy you need to switch it up

  9. I pleased you are now illustrating some of your observations with supplementary twitter-based videos.

I find that they are amplifying your incredibly thoughtful observations.

  10. If CP3 was that player you seem to think he is,, he would still be on the Suns. He will get injured, it's just a matter of when. He also was hunted on defense and really slowed down the offense when he was in the game. Suns played better when he was not in there, both offensively and defensively. Warriors are building around an aging core with unproven younger players. It will start to go downhill from here. Below the Nuggs, Suns, Lakers and Kings in the West.

  11. Wiggins and Klay need to get back into All Star form if the GsW want to go far next off season. Klay was terrible this post season and Wiggins didn't play the last like 40 games of the season which really hurt the team. I keep hearing that Kuminga is the next star in the making and if that is so then he needs to elevate his game this season coming. Lastly, CP3 just needs to stay healthy, provide quality mins off the bench, and not be a defensive liability. If CP3 can help elevate the bench players game and production well that is even better. I have the GsW on par with the Lakers, maybe half a notch below the Suns/Kings, but obviously the Nuggets are at the clear favorites. I think the GsW can be a safe 4th seed team without injuries.

  12. Cory Joseph has great efficiency in his shooting stats but the volume is extremely low. He only averaged 7ppg game last season and typically only averages in the single digits. With the loss of Poole's production coming off the bench is it realistic to think he can jump from averaging 7 points to 10-15 on a consistent basis ?

  13. Starting 5 was elite plus minus last year, even with the drama. Bench production was abysmal, mostly because Poole. Simple as that.

So of course they will be way better. I’d argue they’re better than the 2022 championship warriors on paper.

  14. If Davis can contribute 12 minutes of good defense a night that would be everything.

  15. Draymond admitted he didn't even have a relationship with kuminga while on the road for 41 games last yr and it's his 3rd season let me find out our vets are the reason our young guns not maturing properly 😮 , Chris Paul is supposed to come in to mentor our young core because the big dogs concentrating on get'n Buckets 🎯🤞🏼🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫

  16. Warriors will be a 6 to 8 seed and bounced in the first round, there done and signing a guy drawing social security who is small and always hurt on top of that what has cp3 ever done? I cant think of nothing but lakers beat us cause of there size then what do we do? We get smaller and older😂😂
