“Truthfully, he wants to tank his trade value so he ends up on Miami for some scrubs and a few firsts”

  2. EarlofSlammwich

If he wanted to play in Miami so bad maybe he shoulda signed with them. Just a thought.

  3. Ok_Mountain_4638

Dame finna pull a harden of he doesn’t end up in Miami

  4. Chuckthethug

This is gonna last months isn’t it

  5. Dame revealing his true colors. Loyalty was just a shtick

  6. YeeTarnished

Then he shouldn’t have signed a contract that said he’ll play someplace else for a quarter billion dollars. Period.

  7. Pookapotamus

Maybe don’t tell the media that Lillard will refuse to play for any other team, or at best become a locker room cancer.

  8. KnowBJJ

Is Portland going to boo Dame when he visits?

  9. nysraved

I remember people mentioning that Dame couldn’t get in trouble for his trade request because he never said anything, it was just “sources”.

Put his agent publicly saying on the record that Dame wants to play in the Miami? Feels like that’s gotta be against some rule

  10. KiryuXGoro

At least Portland fans can stop pretending they liked his rapping. RIP Miami fans.

  11. RVAIsTheGreatest

There we have it. They had already been leaking to the press and already been driving narrative in a singular direction and privately seeking to rebuff teams from making offers for Dame. This is something we rarely see…something this forthright from an agent.

Dame and Goodwin are seeking to destroy Portland’s leverage but the bottom line is the Blazers don’t need to trade Dame and the Heat badly want him. Dame still has no leverage beyond sabotaging the Blazers and causing enough headaches they pack his bags out the door. Dame was always going to end up in Miami; what was in question was the timeline, and I don’t think it’s gonna be a quick one, even if Dame wants it to be.

an agent should not have this much power

  13. Appropriate-Job-2972

Dame all talk and just ended up like every other disgruntled star

  14. azure275

KD is the biggest winner here lmao finally someone looks worse

  15. GenderIsAGolem

Looks like Dame is gunna sit then. Will his list of teams grow if he misses a whole year of play?

  16. Bababooey98

This is why superstar free agency is a thing of the past. Why bother to become a FA when you can sign a big extension with your current team (more $$$) then request a trade to one specific team a year later. Dame is probably going to end up getting traded for about a third of what Durant went for and less than what Rudy Gobert went for. Fuck Miami.

  17. SlipperyTurtle25

If he wanted to play in Miami that bad he shouldn’t have signed an extension

  18. Hungry-Raisin-5328

at a certain point, he’s going to piss off the owners enough that they won’t care about the return and make life as difficult for him as possible.

  19. Sweatytubesock

Cool. He’s also under contract. His agent should be familiar with contracts.

  20. JustBorky

I mean really though isn’t all of this Dame tanking his value stuff just fake leverage? I mean if they play hardball and either don’t trade him or trade him to a team that’s not the Heat what is he gonna do? Not play the twilight of career? Pull a fat Harden? It makes actually no sense to ask for a trade with this long left on your contract and then try to dictate where you go, just super bad timing by Dame, should have done it in the last window, people would have been less mad and he would have more control over his own fate.

However, as everyone has said on all of these never ending threads, he’ll still end up on the heat

  21. itscalledabobberbro

He could have played for Miami if he did not resign with the Blazers multiple times.

He could have gain leverage by adding a no trade clause, took less money as part of the negotiations but he didn’t do that.

  22. iabeytorm

Dame and his agent need to learn what a contract is

  23. PalletTownsDealer

so if he doesn’t get what he wants, is he gonna pull a ben simmons?

  24. throwaway__rnd

Man signed a huge, multi year contract. He doesn’t get to just force his way to whatever team he wants. At this point, Portland should just keep him. He’s under contract, and they’re not going to get back anything better in return.

  25. buttsoup24

Trade his ass to the wizards for an apple pie

  26. NoBigDill88

He has 3 years left on his contract. He’d have more leverage if he only had a year left.

  27. Quickzoom

If he’s that set on Miami, then he should accept they don’t have the assets to make it happen and get ready to show up for training camp in two months.

  28. Alejandroandro

Bro really played the loyalty bit for years just to demand to go to a specific team in trade

  29. Doc__Toboggan

Miami doesn’t have the assets to get him, period

  30. MahomesMccaffrey

Portland can just hold on to him instead of trading him.

If every offer is shitty they can always wait until the deadline.

They have young pieces that need to be developed and are not in an urge to trade him or complete the rebuild in 1 off season.

  31. Avetali

Well, I have some bad news for Dame’s agent: he won’t be playing in Miami unless they cough up some big time assets

  32. Melksss

All this drama is going to drive us crazy. Portland, you guys should just stand your ground and send him to some place, like idk the Kings, just to prove a point.

  33. eaglesphan1

If he wants to play in Miami, he shouldn’t have signed a Max extension. Period.

    NBA becoming a fucking joke.

  34. Maybe he should have signed a contract in Miami then?

  35. SomeGuyClickingStuff

Blazers GM should release a statement “I do what I should do for my team. Some teams I did call. Other teams have called me. It’s a respectful relationship with most teams. Truthfully, we want to help Portland. Period”

  36. Daddy_Milk

May I? If it has not been said yet declarith a newest of new nickname Dame Dolla Store. Anygood?

  37. Ch3sterRockwell

This should flip Dames good guy narrative. Complete asshole behavior.
