Found this interesting, Matt and Jack talking about the dynamic between Fred and Scottie and a possible reason for his departure with how the raptors want this team to look going forward

Fred took less guaranteed $$ from Houston btw

There are too many fans in denial about Scottie running the offence. Whether you like it or not, it’s happening y’all. If we can’t let Scottie become HIM then our Tampa year was in vain.

well I mean Fred just delayed the inevitable. He took a short term deal (essentially 2 years) with the Rockets. Amen will also become the starting point guard for the Rockets when he’s ready.

Fred just isn’t a starting caliber point guard on a contender as a number 1-2 option.

Fred had an issue with Kawhi & sacrificing for the better of the team during that season so it’s not surprising that he wouldn’t budge for Scottie

  5. Can anyone break it down? Twitter keeps something something’s wrong when I click to unmute it

Fred left because we’re a low ceiling team that’s capped out. A rebuild was inevitable and he’s not a franchise player. He took the bag from Houston instead of re-signing and becoming a trade piece.

Scottie is under a lot of pressure to perform next season. This offense will be horrendous if he doesn’t take some sort of leap.
