Would love to see him crawl between two players fighting again, at his age.

  2. Agnostic102

Good luck getting players from this generation to play hard for JVG. Dude is mad all the time about everything.

  3. CapitalismEnthusiast

I’m ‘actively exploring’ my ass crack.

  4. I’m gonna go on a limb and say he was only doing espn cus nobody wanted to hire him to coach

  5. It’s important to know when to hang up the ol’ boots. JVG your time has come

  6. constantlymat

ESPN really screwed over a tenured employee by firing him mere weeks after the coaching cycle ended.

  7. BetweenTheBuzzAndMe

c’mon new hornets owners… do something

  8. graveyeverton93

“Van Gundy is living off what Pat Riley did for The Knicks, which is nothing” Scottie Pippen. Quality.

  9. OregonTripleBeam

The NBA is too soft these days for Jeff Van Gundy

  10. JokAllYouWant2023

For someone who hates the way the game is played today on every level (player, coach, franchise, reffing) he sure seems committed to stay involved with the NBA.
Dude huffs his own farts for sure.

  11. RVAIsTheGreatest

He’d make for a great assistant but not a HC as he’s been out the game for so long (watching and film to prep for TV isn’t the same as game planning as a coach) and his personality may end up clashing with younger guys today.

  12. Trailing-and-Blazing

I can’t believe anyone who’s on this sub actually likes this guy

  13. LavenderAutist

Silver lining of ESPN not cutting Mark Jackson

  14. JVG actively hates the modern game of basketball. It would be fun hatewatching him try to play like it’s 2004.

  15. Random_frankqito

He would be great at tnt…. But if not LSU needs a coach, sec is really getting better

  16. JVG calls a TO and instead of drawing up a play he just asks his team what the deal is with second cousins.

  17. victorspoilz

    ESPN actually laid him off?

Axe Mark Jackson next, he sucks even worse.

  18. shiny_dittos

They would have to extend timeouts so he can get his gameplan in between ramblings

  19. In another post, this sub was trashing Mark Jackson for not being willing to take an assistant job to get back into coaching. Now we’re bashing JVG for it. Regardless of what you think of him or his ability to coach, kudos to a guy who doesn’t need the money and has plenty of other options in life, to be willing to go be an assistant.

The Washington Generals have an opening

  21. Turbo2x

please lord let him join the Wizards staff. Wes needs all the help he can get with all these young dudes.

  22. snyckers

It always amazes me that people with a lot of money still do stuff to get more. I would do absolutely nothing.

  23. Pretend_Highway_5360

    dude is 61

just chill my guy you’re a millionaire

    run a camp

coach a high school team or something

  24. EaglesXLakers

God, imagine if Mark Jackson was also fired. Some poor team would end up hiring him wouldn’t they!

  25. MVPhurricane

criminal that they fired this guy. best color analyst and it’s not even remotely close. i hope he doesn’t go back to coaching– he is much better on the call than on the sidelines.

  26. TheInconspicuousBIG

That’s a whole practice discussing if it’s ok to fuck your second cousin

  27. TNT should just hire him. He need to continue to call games.

  28. BjornLakenstrazen

It would be amazing if he became the coach for a team and in their first nationally televised game all the players flopped every single possession.
