well it’s not like we’re trading him if he still says he refuses to re-sign with the new team. We’re not gonna sell for pennies on the dollar.
As soon as Siakam’s camp told Haynes to tweet what he did, that entire ship sailed. Hawks sign Bufkin then DJM signs the extension.
This feels like a pretty low return all things considered? Yes he’s expiring but i’d much rather re-sign Siakam than take on about 30m in filler, one pick and one rookie unless the filler is some good roleplayers that can be flipped for more picks or young players.
Any upper hand the FO had to get a nice haul went down the drain once Siakam and his camp ran to Chris Haynes to have that nonsense tweeted out about not re-signing with whoever got him. Teams are clearly gonna use that against them
