Someone explain this stupid shit to me. I haven’t looked into this dumbass shit so can someone explain to me how this goofy shit is supposed to work
I’m trying to figure out how to care about these groups lol because as far as I understand it, we’re just playing regular season games like we normally and the results of random games are chosen to count towards the inevitable record that will determine the group ranking, no? And because we’re a team that almost certainly won’t care at all, and may even attempt to do what we can to avoid having to go to Vegas to play in another game lol does it really matter, from my position as a fan, who we’re in a group with??
Edit to add: after reading the TLDW (thanks for that by the way!), here’s hoping November will be one of the months we get stacked with B2Bs (there’s always at least one if not two months) lol
Can we win the group (since they are regular season games) and not go to Vegas? Don’t want our guys getting injured playing two extra meaningless games

Win all the group games and the semis since they count towards the regular season record, rest the starters for the final lol

In the tournament, win the games that count and treat the game(s) like preseason if doesn’t count.
Our group doesn’t look so tough at least. Kings should be the toughest opponent and maybe the Timbs if they having a good day.

Could be far worse. Possibly the weakest set of 4 opponents we could have drawn, plus SAC counts as a “road” game. Only one real road trip in 4 games.

Warriors got a pretty easy group. Should be in good groove by then. Would be nice to the first winner of the tournament.
To Incentivize the tournament final game since it doesn’t count toward the RS record… the winning team will get fewer back-to-back games scheduled next season.
