I think Michael Grange pulled this rumour out of his ass

  2. SirJoeffer

Calm down they aren’t gonna trade for him they’re just monitoring how he’s doin

Weltman told me he called Siakam this morning, said he was just chilling today, will continue to monitor throughout the week

  3. StanVanGhandi

Haha, come on man. Everyone should know by now. To this sub, no one is good enough for us.

Pretty much, the only suggestion I have seen like this where fans on this sub said “i guess that could work” was Luka. And even then people were like “what about Markelle?”

Of course Magic mgmt are monitoring Saikam bc Weltham was a part of the TOR org when they drafted Siakam and developed him. He also works out in Orlando a lot in the off-season and has ties to magic mgmt and player development through his agent.

  4. radardog2

No thank you. Unless they’re willing to take a shit package

  5. StanVanGhandi

No all star is good enough for this sub. Our current players are so good we don’t even need all stars. Shit, we are so awesome we don’t even need to win games.

I think people are ridiculous just immediately turning their nose up to this idea. We are in the era of positionless basketball. Pretty sure this trade wont happen but when have we been linked to a talent as good as Siakam? We are the Orlando Magic. Lets be real. Y’all really wanna turn down a champion & All-NBA 2nd & 3rd teamer? Lmao

Depends on what he costs. I think Siakam would be a great fit for our team. He could be a small-ball (if you can even call it that) center that would really help our spacing. Also a great defender who would work well next to Paolo. He’s also only 28 years old.

  8. dexterrrr_

The fit with Paolo and Franz feels a little wonky but it’s interesting depending on the package.

Siakham can’t really space the floor which is a concern for me but probably not for Weltman. Shooting and floor space seems to be pretty low on his list of priorities.

Doubt this really happens but Im definitely confused on why so many people are against this. He is an all-star who fits into the “position-less” play…? Slide Franz to the 2 and the starting lineup looks great and we would maintain a lot of our bench. Absolutely wild to me that there are magic fans more loyal to our bench than winning…. And Im not saying trade any of our starters…

  10. Bucs2k20

I like siakam I just don’t see where he fits let’s assume franz wasn’t apart of the deal our forwards are set with paolo and franz. I don’t know if you’d want franz long term as a shooting guard

  11. _Egraam

If he doesn’t want to extend than it’s pointless, we won’t win this year anyway, it’s too early. If he does then it’s a different conversation, and if the price isn’t way too high then I wouldn’t be opposed to it

  12. VodkaAndTacos

    Wow…this would be bad.

I mean, I love his game but the only way I see this working is if we give up one of Paolo or Franz and if you did, why get a 29 year old allstar with a similar skillset to Paolo? If you didn’t have to give up PB or Franz, then how would there be enough touches and room for all three to work? It just doesn’t seem to make sense.

The whole Weltman archtype is getting a little ridiculous. How many big, long and athletic guys can we stockpile on one team before we specifically start targeting actual skill-set weaknesses?

Gary Trent Jr. would have been really good, though.

  13. Fit-Structure-9395

Pascal won’t Fit in Orlando he’s one of those players that need the ball in his hands to be able to produce it’s a reason why Fred pascal and Scotty never worked it’s because the 3 need the ball in their hands .

  14. Soul0103

Fultz Franz Siakam Paolo Wendell lineup is kind of nasty though.

  15. Debonair311

He can’t shoot. Our floor spacing would be just as bad or worse.

  16. Kevita24

If you don’t believe that Siakam makes Orlando a MUCH better team then you’re just being silly…he’s an All-NBA wing who gives you almost 25ppg/6 assist/8 rebound and high-level defense, and he was one of the most double-team players in the NBA last season…he would immediately vault the Magic into the playoffs and IMO make them a top 6 seed as long as the young guys take another step forward

Not to mention he’s a workhorse and a leader, and he would be a great player for paolo banchero to learn from and play alongside

Anyway, I’m not sure how realistic to would be for Orlando to land him but it would likely be a move that would move the needle significantly

  17. Milla4Prez66

I will start by saying I believe this rumor is BS and the Magic have little to no interest in making a deal for Siakam.

However, at the right price, I would actually be intrigued by this. Just imagine Pascal, Paolo, Franz and Black all in the lineup. Just huge playmakers literally all over the court. Not saying it would work or I want to get something done, but the idea of that is so damn intriguing I can’t lie.

  18. Turk0luu

Siakam is a very good player, but at some point we have to take into account fit when it comes to how the team is being built. He has a chance of being an All NBA player this season, but the lack of shooting here will hinder him just as it did in Toronto last season.

I’m not against a splash trade for an All NBA talent but it has to make more sense than going out and getting a good player because they are good.

I’m guessing Toronto is trying to use Orlando as leverage, its pretty well reported now that Atlanta are gunning for Siakam

  19. The question is what value do we give up? If we are getting an established two way star like Siakam without giving the farm away, why not get better? If we are looking to the playoffs, you need an established star like him. We don’t have enough scorers and he also plays excellent defense.

  20. BumpyChuckles71

This just seems like Toronto trying to leak stuff to get Atlanta to pay more.

  21. RedactProdigy

Based on what evidence? This is just like the FVV nonsense. This is just people making up headlines to get views.

  22. ComedianManefesto

We think Toronto is creating rumors about our interest to leverage more assets from Atlanta

  23. Hardwork407

I believe them, they were spot on when they said we were signing Fred Van Vleet. Oh wait…..
