all the trade packages I’ve seen being discussed are sooo bad (supposedly because he is an expiring). just extend Siakam and trade him at the trade deadline.

More realistic: Nembhard
No idea: Walker
There’s a massive gap there so a Pacers deal is tricky. The Pacers also don’t have an excess of draft capital (just all of their own firsts and seconds, plus a few extra seconds). I feel like the Raps would want Mathurin, Pacers would offer Nemhard and 1 first. Raps might want 2 firsts if they can’t get Mathurin.
Salary filler is Hield and Theis.

Posted in another thread but I think a package of Nembhard, Hield, Smith and draft compensation is worth looking at. It adds shooting and guard play, as well as another defensive wing for depth. It’s a package that’s the lowest risk and most realistic. We’re not getting Mathurin from the Pacers or “the haul” from the Hawks otherwise the deal would have been done by now.
