  1. 20 a game probably bumping up to 25-30 in playoffs

  2. Redditforever12

20-30 no back to backs, and scheduled rest days. maybe he might play 60 games

I expect Klay and CP3’s minutes to be similar this year. Klay really faded towards the end so I think there going to manage his minutes a little better this year so he’s fresher down the stretch. He had that great 2 months but then seemed gassed come playoff time.

I personally think saric is gonna play the 4 a bit this year. Also think they are gonna try to put kuminga at the 3 .at least to experiment.also cp3 minutes are way to low.Poole averaged 30 unless the team is dedicated to making sure he makes it the playoffs with legs

Chris Paul ain’t on the death squad next to Curry to finish games. The Dubs have zero defense if so.

I think we’re going to see CoJo play some minutes. Garbage time for sure, but probably some meaningful minutes, and more than a few if either Steph of CP3 is resting or hurt.

My hot take: top two at end of season in minutes will be Wiggs and JK. Guys who are young and durable and won’t need to miss games for rest and injuries (hopefully).

  8. Injuries heavily influence minutes per game, so ultimately, the minutes per game will be higher across the board.

If I had to give constructive feedback:

    * I think CP3 comes in earlier in the 1st quarter. CP3’s first appearance at the 10-minute mark is unrealistic. That’s the missing Curry/CP3 overlap.
    * Those overlapping minutes should be directly removed from GP2. GP2 has never played 19mpg, so maybe 16-17 max. Given this rotation is fully healthy, it’s probably lower.

I don’t know about SF through C. So much of it is health and the growth of Moody and Kuminga.

Gp2 will get more minutes that moody I think

Nice work OP. Gives an idea of what rotations might look like. They will obviously be adjusted over the course of the season. We shall see how well CP3 and Steph/Draymond play together, especially defensively. I’m honestly pretty sure they’ll do well. Another important indicator of success will be the non-Steph-minutes. If they can play, like you’ve drawn it up, for 9 straight minutes without Steph on the floor, without falling behind, then it’s a definite success. Last year he couldn’t be off the floor for more than 3 minutes at a time…

All and all I think this is great and I would be happy but I think we might want to give some of those Klay min to GP2.

I feel like we’ll get more out of Klay if he plays a little less

  12. Have no idea what they are going to do… but this is quality content, thanks for posting.

Steph should be playing less minutes with the addition of Cp3

  14. Bay_Burner

Our age will require us to go way deeper then a 10 man rotation.

Loon is gonna play more than 19 mins a game. He’s one of our best players and is one of the few with youth on his side.

Wigs and loon should be too minutes guys.

From a data visualization standpoint, think it makes more sense to have each player going horizontally.

The Warriors/League play a lot of positionless basketball so it would make the most sense to just see who is on the court at each minute mark vs which position is being filled by whom.

  17. DarthLucky

    I’m just gonna say 27.5mpg

He gets some starts here and there to cover a resting or injured splash bro and when he comes off the bench he will get playing time with both the 2nd unit and starters (pretty much the general consensus since he was acquired, I’m not coming up with anything new here).

I really do like this roster and hope we get to see it stay at full-strength throughout the season.

Also all of us optimists are going to have hilariously sad comment history regarding this if he protests the idea of coming off the bench and this turns into a dumpster fire. Here’s hoping for the best.

  18. Dinshiddie

I suspect your closing lineup is our starting lineup, even if for only 4-6 minutes. I think Kerr is smart enough to know that he needs CP3 to buy-in completely. Starting him off on the bench is not a great way to get him to buy-in. We’ll see, but that’s my guess for how it goes at least to start the season.

  19. Fifediggity

Small lineup at the end of games. Maybe too small.

  20. elpeezey

I don’t think Steph will play that much time with 3 non-passers. Draymond minutes will much more mirror Steph’s.

  21. ggproductivity

If the Warriors want Kuminga to be a hustle guy, I think his minutes need to be fragmented more, but it gets a little weird.

  22. moreVCAs

    Looks good. Some questions:

    – is Moody/JK at 3/4 at the same time the basis for a realistic defensive unit?
    – how often will CP close, really? When he does, will he be the nominal 2, or will he be the one bringing the ball up the court?

  23. Pndrizzy

If you think Kerr is going to play CP3 only 3 more minutes than moody you’re insane

I really like this. Well done Perks.
