Pretty sure this guy pump fakes on every drive to basket
He’s a Swiss Army knife. He does so many things, offensively and defensively, very well.
Only thing I saw that I didn’t like was he let a couple guys back cut along the baseline as he watched the ball. But that’s something he can fix pretty easily.
He is the best player on the mavs SL team and its really not close.
Exum Josh Grant OMax and Lively is going to be fun to watch when we need a stop.
His athleticism is top tier, his gas tank is huge, and his never say die attitude on both ends of the floor looks infectious.
Someone in the game thread said they couldn’t wait to see him and Green on the floor together, and I couldn’t agree more. They’ll be running the opposition ragged.

I LOVE what I’ve seen from Omax so far. The thing I said to myself immediately the first time I saw him was, “whoa, that dude is BIG.” He’s **very** physically imposing for a wing. Very long, but real muscle mass too, so he has the physical tools to guard just about everybody. He could be a very, very special defensive player.
Offensively he can look awkward at times, but that’s to be expected. And it doesn’t really matter because he has the one thing every wing actually needs to be a productive player on the offensive end- 3 point range. We all knew he was a good defensive player coming out of the draft. What has surprised me though so far is just how silky smooth his 3 pt shot is. Young 3-and-D wings are just about the single most valuable asset in the NBA today. It looks like the Mavs found a good one.

He was the best player on the court by a mile despite sticking to his role as the 3rd/4th option behind all the guards. Once he took over a bit on offense he was super efficient. He either hit the 3 or got FTs.
His defense is a joy to behold. And he never gets tired of sprinting up and down and left and right.
He’s going to be a pro for a long time
It’s early, but tanking those two games might have saved the Luka era. With OMax and Lively I see us having a path to a championship roster. Maybe OMax is our Desmond Bane. Would be so nice, If Mavs finally could have landed a late in the draft steal.
