Hey I don’t have Twitter, I can’t post a link only photo. How true is this? Would we need OKC to lift protections? Or we wouldn’t because now we have an unprotected pick in 25’
You don’t need OKC to lift the protections, you just need a pick in ’25

Albert Nahmad’s analysis has always been good

True, I do it in 2k lol
But yeah that’s how the Stepien rule works

If it is Albert, it is truth. Albert is the GOAT

If it came from Albert it’s certainly verified with actual research. He’s great.

This isnt news. Either unprotect the pick or get a new pick. As long as you have an unprotected 2025 pick you can trade the subsequent ones (2024,2026)

I wrote this elsewhere, will just paste it here. If we traded for someone else’s 2025 pick.
Specifically, the Stepien Rule requires teams to have at least one future first-rounder in every other draft
2024, 2026, 2028, 2030
Scenario 1: Our 2025 pick conveys. We would have an extra 2025 so its safe to send out the 2024 and 2026. (Portland would be getting 2024, 2026, 2028 & 2030 in this scenario)
Scenario 2: Our 2025 pick does not convey. We would have 2 picks in that draft. So instead of sending out a 2026 pick we would send out one of the 2 2025 picks to Portland. (Portland would be getting 2024, 2025, 2028 & 2030 in this scenario)
So the trade details would say be contingent on that detail. But we could still send out 4 frp’s.
