Ayo Dosunmu should absolutely be seeking the best opportunity to get the most guaranteed years and money in free agency. I'm sure he's weighing his options between he and his agents in regards to what's out there.
But I don't know if Ayo Dosunmu has the mental fortitude to be a starting point guard just yet. To demand the ball in critical situations and get a team organized. He seems more like a rotation player, but his shooting was dreadful from long range and he didn't make up for it in other areas to overlook that deficiency. He looked passive and lacked confidence. He lost minutes once Patrick Beverly was signed. And Beverly didn't shoot well, but he did other things to impact the game.
Ayo has to work on that no matter where he ends up.
As much as I liked Ayo if I was him I would try to find a team willing to give him a guaranteed role as it sits heβs probably the 3rd pg on the Bulls and probably will have more then a few dnps
We should keep him, but Toronto is gonna try really hard to get him. They like Ayo and PWill so it could become a bigger deal. Toronto has 4-7 PF/Center types we should π―. Plus picks. I really think Chicago and Toronto make some kind of trade. Could be Ayo for a PF and a protected pick. Could be a bigger deal.
Raptors who fit here. Siakam, Barnes (they won't trade) OG make alot.. Trent Jr we got PG. Boucher awesome PF, Achiuwa great PF, Thad Young. Boucher and Achiuwa are 2 i would π― who fit PF here. Flipping a young talented combo they will make great" I would want at least 1 of those 2 and a protected pick. If they wanna do Ayo and P Will in a package for Siakam I would also do that. Just know Toronto will develop them into Stars.
But that's where it sits. Toronto wants Ayo really bad. It's gonna be a trade cause their ceiling and Bulls same on what they would pay Ayo. Around 10mil. So Bulls would match. Now Toronto and Bulls talk about a trade and the cost.
