A much better shooting night, from the entire team, this game

They need to expand the Summer League playoffs to 8 teams. 4 is not enough

If there’s one thing I can guarantee going into the season, it’s that this bench will push the pace and run every chance they get. One more game tomorrow!

Almost had 20 for Bilal but damn that was a great performance after an iffy first half.

We really found ourselves a HoF player in Coulibaly

I missed most of the game, tf happened in after the first quarter that Bilal had 19? How did everyone look?

  9. Bilal gonna be great man… and loved what I saw from Johnny too. At the very least, next season is gonna have some fun games

I can’t wait to watch this Bilal masterclass when I get home

  11. Started off rough but was fun to watch after a while! Bilal is definitely a keeper. He hasn’t really turned into one thing or another, but he’s got some intriguing flashes. The hang time floating that JCross commented on. The fantastic blocks. The ability to get places off the bounce.

He also has tons to work on, which is normal. He gets complacent on defense with faster guys sometimes. Wallace blew by him a couple times after Bilal was trying to run him off the 3-point line to hasten their comeback. Maybe that’s by design and the bigs were supposed to collapse, but it looked like he just died on the blow-by. Bilal also is good at ‘beating’ his defender off the dribble and then….going nowhere lol. He looks like he’s just adjusting to the speed of nba guys. You beat them and poof, they’re right back there. If the Wizards brought John Wall in as a speed coach he would tell Bilal now it’s time for 2 more moves. First move you beat your man, second move you create more separation, third move you maintain your speed and create or finish. Bilal is still thinking once he beat his man that “he gone”. Bilal also got his pocket picked and trapped himself basically by the half court line. His handles are decent but again, NBA defenders require a different level of ball protection. You see they had to back off Rollins because he’s just got too much shiftiness and having the ball on a string. Eventually it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you’re suspect, guys take more chances against you and get more steals against you. If you are tough with it, guys may try once or twice but quickly just back off because you can’t predict what someone good with the ball is going to do because often times they don’t even know what move is coming next themselves.

Anyhow, I am all on board with Bilal. For their first pick, this Front Office knocked it out of the park in terms of someone with a solid base of talent that if he works on his game, could turn into something very special.

People were laughing when Wembanyama said Bilal deserved to be top 5 of the draft …

Need this version of JD to be available EVERY night. Good to see this kind of performance from him.

I Can’t believe it’s over tomorrow. I could watch another 10 games. Super excited for the season after seeing bilals defensive impact

Johnny Davis is showing me something and shoutout to Ryan Rollins, guy can play

I like Baldwin though I think he’s a rotation gadget guy who when hitting from 3 can be very valuable because of the other things he does.

Coulibaly showed me nothing that causes me big concern about his long term projection but I still think he needs two years to really take off if its going to happen.

Davis looks like a guy with a year of NBA experience. He shot well from 3 which I think is really important for him but the overall efficiency wasn’t good.

Decision making is a big part of why Rollins will get minutes. No doubt he can earn minutes.

To me, the pick being Coulibaly meant the front office views this as a 3-4 year timeline to build a playoff contender. Young with lots of physical potential and a strong mentality and hope he is one of those guys who just keeps growing into a star. If a quick rebuild works, we suck for 2 years and make some solid picks and wind up with Coulibaly rounding out into an all star level player as your really high lottery picks start getting their comfort level in year 2 or 3.
