    Unless we’re giving up Trent + filler, or Boucher + OPJ + Thad + picks, it ain’t happening. Herro is making 27m next year, tough to trade for him without downgrading our current squad

    I got kinda nuts on the trade machine and built out a 4 team deal where we merge a Blazers/Heat trade and a Raptors/Hawks trade

    Raps get: Herro, Bufkin, Hawks FRP (probably the 2024 Kings pick they have)

    Heat get: Lillard, Nurkic

    Hawks get: Siakam, Jovic

    Blazers get: Lowry, Hunter, Okungwu, Jaquez, 3 Heat FRPs

    Blazers get 1 very good young player in Okungwu, another prospect in Jaquez, 3 FRPs, and salary relief in getting an expiring Lowry for Nurkic/Lillard long term money. Hunter also fits them very well – would be a good fit with Scoot/Sharpe/Simons I feel.

    Raps get a shooter and a big help to their half court offence. Bit of a redundancy with GTJ so we’d have to figure that out. Also get Bufkin and a FRP.

    Heat get Lillard and a backup big that they desperately need

    Hawks get Siakam to fill out their big 3 and get 1 young guy in Jovic back.

    EDIT: After some additional thought and feedback I’ve revised the trade:

    Raps get: Herro, Bufkin, multiple Hawks SRPs

    Heat get: Lillard, Nurkic

    Hawks get: Siakam, Jovic, Keon

    Blazers get: Lowry, Hunter, Capela, Jaquez, 3 Heat FRPs, maybe some seconds?

    Okungwu was a sticking point from what I’ve gathered. If you swap him out for Capela and send Keon somewhere (chose Atlanta here) money still works, but it might have swung too far away for Portland.

    Herro played at an all star level last year. I seen raptors fans comparing him to GTJ

    People laughing this off are getting way too caught up in the Portland narrative of it. The reason they don’t want him is because they already have 3 good young guards and he would be redundant. In the flip side, the Raptors have maybe 1 good young guard in GTJ who they don’t seemed too enthralled with. I’d love if we got Herro.

    Could also explain why we haven’t extended Trent yet.

    Blazers get salary clearing boucher and flynn. And a 1st.

    I would definitely take him over paying Trent, but Portland doesn’t need Gary.

    He’s good, not really at defense and makes 30 mil a year. Literally ~1/4 of the salary cap
