Still hurts… -_-
We agreed to never talk about 13
this is gonna hurt…
ok, lets go.
Genuinely gonna be one of the hardest videos I’ve ever watched 💀
Fuel for the fire
This was fantastic btw
My heart hurts before I watch this episode
We could've had six…
The episode is going to hurt to watch but here we go
LETS GO SPURS 🖤🤍
Darn it Spurs, just earlier today I was feeling great because I was rewatching Game 5 of the 2014 Finals but then you released this 😭
Damn Pop taking Duncan out, then after Lebrons headband got knocked off he went nuts, Kawhi and Manu missed FT, Duncan missed a bunny shot. Smh what a nightmare
Why am I putting myself through this on purpose?
26:58 is still one of the worst no-calls in NBA history. Clearly a foul and everyone, even Heat fans, knows it. If that foul gets called Ginobili goes to the line for two shots to win the championship in overtime.
so sorry for gary neal, he deserve that 2013 chip.
Spurs fans all remember where they were the moment that shot went in. Heartbreaking to say the least but that’s what makes 2014 so special 🖤
I was in The Republic of Georgia 🇬🇪 and it was morning over there…woke up to watch the 4th quarter of game 6…2 Miami heat fans were watching the game as i came in to watch it…i was crushed while they were happy as hell
Gonna have to rewatch “The Beautiful Game” for the millionth time after this lol
For me, the ray allen 3 point dont hurt me like the derek fisher in 2004.
god i hate the lakers!!!
I’ll never forget it. I remember when we were up 5, I thought, “we’re gonna win, the Heat are too desperate now”. Then the missed free throws came, heart started to pound faster, then the Allen 3, swish, and the excitement was sucked out of me. When they lost in OT, I was in shock, like I saw a loved one get shot down in the street for no reason at all. It haunts me to this day, and I still believe the 2013 Spurs were better than the 2014 team, but that’s just my opinion. It was great to get them back the next year though.
Honestly, considering how the following season went, I wouldn't change a thing. However:
After Allen's shot, the Spurs had no time-outs left. Miami couldn't call one since they were on defense. The thing for the Spurs to do is get the ball inbounded as fast as possible to prevent Miami from setting their defense. Well, the officials just so happened to decide in that very critical moment to stop play and review to see if Allen's foot was on the line.
THAT pissed me off more than anything else. Miami had an incredible defense and the officials decided to help it out.
The most heartbreaking part of being a Spurs fan but love how they redeemed themselves.
Can't wait for "The Beautiful Game" doc
Loss in '13 doesn't hurt me that much any more because I feel, in my heart, this is what fed us and gave us "the beautiful game" spurs of '14. Would much rather have that to think back on – absolutely perfect basketball from our Spurs.
I can't WAIT for part 2.
What impressed me the most about the Spurs in that series was getting their hearts ripped out in game six and STILL coming back and being right there in the end with a chance in game seven. How many teams have lost a heartbreaker and came back flat in the final game?
That Tim Duncan moment when it hits the floor. Hurts me the most to this day. I never saw Timmy that angry and disappointed!
This was the year I really wanted them to win. Mainly because people made fun of me at school for being a Spurs fan, probably cause I wasn’t a bandwagon KD or LeBron fan, and I was gonna get the sweetest vindication if they won. The minute they lose, I got made fun of again and again for it. Summer sucked for me. But, I did get that vindication as did the Spurs the following year.
Well, this video is like going to the psychiatrist. It still hurts. Greetings from a Spurs fan from Peru.
I was at the Microsoft Tech-Ed conference in New Orleans watching game 6. Manu was playing SO bad that I thought "Is Manu was throwing the game? Did they kidnap a family member in Argentina and threatened him to throw the game or else?" LOL That's how bad of a game he played. I had never seen him play like that. It was so strange and unbelievable.
Man 2008-2013 was rough. So accustomed to us being in the finals every other year. When we lost in 2013 for a second I thought it was over but man I was wrong. 2014 was such beautiful basketball. & the fact that our toughest team was an 8th seed that season
Watching Tim slap the floor breaks my heart every time
Dónde lo puedo conseguir con subtítulos?? 🙏
Can’t wait for part 2
Was 16 years old watching with my cousin who is an avid Miami Heat fan. That Ray Allen shot silenced us both. He felt more bad for me than excited to win the game that night.
That was a tough series to watch, shit still breaks my heart 😢
0:41 "It was the worst loss in my NBA career."
No, it was the worst/most painful loss in NBA history. Can anyone name a more heartbreaking loss in the entire history of the league? No team has ever been that close to an NBA title without winning it.
I will shit a brick if Kawhi Leonard wanders into the interview room during the next episode.
"kawhi leonard could not be reached for comment for this episdode (even though he was on the phone with us lol) "
Ten years ago and this still stings.
I can never watch ray allen sink that 3, I always turn away. 10yrs later and it still hurts
