How do y'all feel about the Walker selection now we've seen him in Summer League? I know we haven't seen Hendricks play, but I felt he should have been the pick from get. I was lowkey ticked off.. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has felt the same. I like Sheppard better than Walker lol… Huge miss on Hendricks… Hope I'm wrong, but Jaden McDaniels body type to a T (6'9h, 7'0w, 215w) his wingspan is perfect for being a great shooter. His body posture is amazing. Stays vertical at all times. On offense and defense. Explodes off two feet.. Jarace looks heavy and slow footed.. He might be able to make some reads on guy's. Yet if he can't get over to them fast enough and or shoot.. He's terrible on the floor. His own coach said likely a "journyman." š¬… went for fit, I get the angle.. But I seen both in Hendricks game.
That Obi swing may have saved us some growing pains with Walker. His not a knockdown shooter, or creator. Yet he can hit open shots and attack the basket some better.. Walker needs to develop his handle. Look to add a spin move like a Giannis, or Pascal. Because of his long arm's. He has to work harder. If he can improve his handle and ever start attacking with drop steps and put his body into guy's.. I just don't see that quickness in him, or that ability. Heavy player on his feet. He really needs to find a way to use his body to his advantage.
Speaking of Tyrese and player's wanting to play with him. I thought if they'd wanted to try and recruit Jerami Grant they could have. If they'd wanted to make a pitch to him. Yet he got his money anyways in Portland.. But guy's that want to look at improving their own stock and know their PG is going to set them up. He can really help elevate guy's and bring the best out of them.
