  1. i was one of his doubters for sure but he played an amazing game here great playmaking defensively looked amazing and was active on ball and off ball and his playmaking was great do i see them guarding him like he is ben probably unless he shows that he can hit the perimeter shot

  2. Wow he can play against people older then him !! I thought he can only do this against 16 years olds

  3. Pros: very focused on the play, good awareness at team D, good discipline on PoA D – restore position when chasing opponent through the screen. Proactive passer, but lacks experience for now.

Cons: bad body coordination at finishing – like seems very raw, so-so decision making at taking jumpshots, majority of blocks were steals-like (rathee horizontal contest than vertical one)

Overall: looks better as an off-ball player now, not advanced b/h, special athlete with long way to go. Probably will be there cause of motor & length.

  4. This game should really prove any doubters wrong about the level of competition he played in ote, his game indeed shines brighter. A positive impact on both sides and made the most of his minutes. Defensive maniac all around (specifically referring to his 3rd block). I’m gonna try and let y’all know now him n sengun gonna kill the league with their pick n roll. the rockets are looking like a complete offensive threat. Young killas on defense that only time will perfect. Don’t sleep. Hop on the hype train before it’s too late.

  5. The part I like about his game is he is always making the right basketball play. If anything you have to tell him to shoot more. I feel like he will gel their whole team together

  6. One thing he does special is his counter moves and they are elite. You didn't see it much in this game because he has to learn nba strength and speed. He can get past the 2nd and 3rd level of defenses. Its a true gift because I don't see superstars do that. Normally they pull up for everyone not named kyrie. I think hes developed that because hes not a shooter. The kid keeps his head up and has an IQ that's going to put him way ahead in yr two. I love that he initiates contact. A true stat filler. His height and speed is going to give guards trouble. He made scoot look small. I really didn't like him at first but he's a good one

  7. Dis kid Thompson is a star ⭐️ he’ll improve the team a lot, Houston got the second best young core after Okc

  8. Amen reminds me a lot of Shai from OKC. Very similar mature, methodical and measured style of play and all around game. Shai had a much nicer shot coming into the league but Amen is a bit taller and way more athletic. Amen has a whole other gear Shai doesn’t have though. He can turn on the jets.

  9. His finishing ability is amazing I don’t get all the guards they sign though they should of got a big man or a coward get some winning players

  10. HOUSTON, We got our future star point guard, FVV is gonna be great vet presence for now, but Amen is the future!! Glad the Rockets front office is not delusional like some of the fan base is, who still wanted KPJ at point. Man Im ready for Rockets basketball again.

  11. Sooo…NBA players can just carry the ball as much as they want now? That's all this guy did in this clip.

  12. Oh yeah this young man is special ✅ this game was crazy🔥
    Jay White was here 🤫

  13. Rockets have a bunch of players that need the ball, and don’t really have any players that are moving well without the ball. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re worse than last year.

  14. Amen can become the ROY.
He has the unique ability to be impactful even if he is not dominating the ball or scoring.
He is big and fast enogh to get rebounds, blocks and still even when he is out of the play.
    Liked a lot.
To me, he is already a superior prospect than both Miller and Scoot.

  15. scoot and thompson playing better then wemby and b miller

  16. If you watched him play at OTE then you know he definitely wasn’t trying here. Barely used his burst. Barley used his bounce. Still put up a more than impressive stat line.

  17. As a Pistons fan, Worst …. Best part was Cam’s play. Amen tho 🙏🏾 he stay healthy, Houston will be exciting to watch! Dawg should have had a double double with the blown assists. Can’t wait to see Ausar

  18. Ive heard and read a lot that the twins are going to be the bust this season. I think theyre the best

  19. Nbs he's kinda giving me Penny Hardaway vibes. Obviously it would take a lot of work to get there, but I feel like he has the physical tools and the basketball IQ already. Excited to watch his career

  20. Can all the hater shut up now. Amen showed poise, toughness and everything you wanted to see from him. He did this with ease looking to pass first. Those outlet fast break plays he started. He’s legit.

  21. I’m not even gonna lie I wasn’t high on him or his bro at all mainly having to do with the league they played was thinking could they do it against NBA level comp. I can say after this one game I’m a fan of his and I see why he went top 5. Really loved not only his scoring ability but the toughness he plays with, looks like he’s gonna be a really good defender who can become a elite two way player in the league. Idk what I wasn’t seeing before but I’m on board now.👏🏾

  22. Some scouts say that he's the best passer of this draft class and others rank him as the second best player next to Wemby. I can see what they're saying after seeing him play full game against other NBA level players.

  23. Thompsons made this NBA top5 draft class of 2023, look like potentially the nastiest in awhile. As rookies..

    Wemby: double-double & 3 blks per gm
Miller: 18 pt 3 rebs 3 ast per game
Scoot: 20 ppg, 8 ast if Lliard is traded
Amon: 15 ppg 6 rebs 5 ast per game
Ausur: as starter 10 ppg 8 rebs 3 ast
