It’s definitely positive to see. With the depth we have this year, I still don’t see him doing anything crazy in terms of counting stats, but he should have always been an anticipated 2-3 year project.

Not ready to say he’s going to be great, but even if he eventually turns into a funky and versatile 8th man on a deep playoff team, then that is still a good pick

Holy shit that’s some amazing progress lol, I didn’t realize his stats were so bad last year

The shooting is obviously promising, but the biggest takeaway for me was how much more aggressive and physical he was. He had several finishes through contact, and that in my opinion was his biggest weakness last season. He was so contact-averse that he would take ill-advised shots or pass out of good opportunities because he refused to get physical.

And whenever his path to the basket would get even the slightest bit limited, he would pull back, leading to him having long stretches where he’d just kinda float around. Him inviting contact would be such a huge point of growth and a shift in mindset that could extend through his entire game.

He’s improved a lot but I wish he didn’t play so damn soft.
