It’s hard to explain but it’s not that we are shitting on the players but there’s less celebrity worship for those of us that live/work here for years or even more so for those of us born here. I don’t know if it is because there are a million different options to do every night or the shit we put up with on an every day basis but it’s not like other cities where they are just blindly clapping because you are in the nba. I think that’s what draymond is use to. It’s a bit of the same in Boston/Philly where atleast those people love their city. When I go to the game/ bar with friends or my girl I expect you to play hard and respect the game because I view it as a privilege to play for the Knicks in nyc. If you don’t want to get back on defense you can take that shit out of here; it’s not personal. The Knicks and basketball have always been engrained in nyc and if you aren’t up for it you’re going to hear it. I’m not here to clap blindly and worship you. If you don’t play hard I don’t want you on the Knicks. Which also leads to some fans thinking that everyone wants to come play here which is definitely delusional at this point lol.
