Please no .. the market for him would be huge and especially since he is the MVP, which ever team gets him, will have to “overpay”.
With overpay I mean, they will pay for his on court abilities (which is fine) but in top pay for the box office. So this makes sense for a Knicks team that absolutely wants and needs a star. But we have 2 stars already.
Also the way he talks to the media, he seems like a horrible team mate with zero accountability. I mean if Luka would throw his teammates under the bus like that, it would be one thing as he performed at a super high level in every single series (with a minor dip in the WCF). But Embiid keeps taking multiple games (and especially elimination games) off. So again, you would be overpaying for the regular season MVP, when your goal is to win a chip.
The good news is that even if we gut our team, it would likely not be enough.

Scambiid is the most overrated player in the history of the game and he will never win a title prior to being an aging ring chaser as #6-9 on an otherwise great team.
