This honestly might be my favorite trade of the off-season lmao. I love Marcus Smart’s fit on the Grizzlies, its like too perfect. So perfect is hurts. A respected vet that is an impact player and a DPOY-level defender, but also the extra playmaker the Grizzlies need. When Ja Morant comes back there gonna be some beautiful 8-10 pass possessions where the ball is hopping around. And usually its tough to upgrade from an all-NBA level defender to something higher, but some how the Grizzlies did that. They don’t bring Dillon Brooks back “under any circumstances” and they replace him with somehow a better defender, and then of course it doesn’t need to be said but Marcus is a better offensive player than Dillon Brooks by a lot (IMO).
Meanwhile I still don’t know how to feel about the Celtics side of it. I’m gonna make a video on it but I have a lot of questions that just have to do with the postseason. Its just such an interesting trade thats why it might be my favorite.
