An all star level performance probably. Its an unwritten rule but the nba doesn’t really give sophomores the mip (i think there are 2 players who still won it but I’m not sure) . Sengun or green is far more likely if they perform

29ppg because second year players have to go stupid crazy to get a vote.

Second year players, especially top picks, shouldn’t win MIP

18/9. He’s going up against other nba veterans. If he lives up to his potential #1 pick sentiments, hits 35% from 3 and shoots way better, then he just needs stats and he’s an easy candidate

He will have look like a for sure all star

Imo, he’d have to average like 25 on good efficiency to overcome the stigma of a highly drafted 2nd year player winning it.

id probably say it would take him to be the most improved player. I have spoken

For Jalen, Sengun, and Tari not to win it

We would need to show some eye-popping improvement, like staying in play-in spot for at least 3/4 of the year and then he probably needs to be at least a clear 2nd best player from our team
