Dallas Mavericks Trade Rumors are heating up as Bleacher Report proposed a trade to land Alex Caruso with the Mavs. They suggested the Mavericks trading Jaden Hardy, JaVale McGee and a 2nd round pick for Caruso. Nah, Jaden's ceiling is just too high as good as Caruso is…. Unless we can get OG or similar we shouldn't trade Hardy.

Would do Hardy for Caruso in a second. Hardy is overvalued. Incredibly talented by don’t think he’ll ever be a star, certainly not in next 5 yrs (Luka’s years). Summer league team played dramatically better without him on the floor. Think you’re overvaluing his potential. Not a defender. More of a “look at me” type of guy who plays with blinders on. Time will tell.
Caruso would be a great pickup and energy guy for the falls mavs’s him paired with grant Williams would be a amazing addition

It makes sense. He hits big shots, is an first team all-nba defensive defender and can handle the ball. He doesn’t score a lot because he doesn’t shoot a lot. 1.31 points per shot,
55% shooting efficiency and one of the league leaders in steals per 36 minutes. Who will sit while Hardy plays? Potential is a funny thing. Caruso is a known quantity. Hardy could be a badass or he could be Nick young.

I understand that you don’t like that trade for caruso to Hardy but we need defence not just one player like Williams. Who knows hardy could be amazing player for the future but we need to win now.
Unless Hardy turns into Ja Morant (basketball wise) then I’m still not getting it. Everything should revolve around keeping Luka happy. If that involves trading Hardy to sacrifice youth then it must be done.

Not understanding how we could use ‘a very young scorer, w/massive potential’, over another ‘lockdown veteran’ on a team with at least 2 players in Luka & Kyre, that can score ‘whenever they want to’? Did not our 2011 championship squad have more ‘lockdown defenders’ than scorers, or what?
