Hard to say. I think lively might get time as a rookie simply because of the situation we have at center. If we trade for someone, he may be sitting for a while. If not, I think he could possibly be starting by the end of the year. O Max has huge potential and I think he has a good chance of getting on the floor mainly as a defender. His offense will develops over time at the NBA Level.
This could be a rude awakening instead for Hardy, Hardaway and Curry. If they lean into defense this year those guys could see significantly fewer minutes. And shots. Kidd no doubt wants to get back to smash mouth defense. No more pretty jump shooters. Those three might combine for 30-40 minutes a game total WHEN THEY PLAY AT ALL this year.
Perhaps Lively, O-max and even Lawson might get serious minutes if they show anything this year.

If we're being honest… outside of Luka and Kyrie we really don't have any legit NBA starters. Every other spot in the rotation should be up for grabs and be a competition.
THJ should fall out of the rotation as well as Powell …I would actually try to package either Green or Hardy with THJ and a first for a really good 3 and D wing…I'd rather keep Hardy cause he has a higher ceiling than Josh
If they play Omax and Lively they cant play them together too much…so the should Embed Lively into the Starting 5 and have Omax come off the bench
Omax, Williams, Green and Luka/Kyrie should close games.

Keep Kurt Rambis lose James Worthy? You never know how these rookies careerâs are going to go. Glad Iâm not making those decisions.
Itâs Curry vs HardyâŚ..depends on what type of team we want.
Canât imagine theyâll combine for 35 minutes. More likely when the game is in doubt curry is in and Hardy rides the bench.
Matchups will decide minutes allocation. Who can guard who.
So defenders will play more minutes than bucket getters.

Where are the points coming from after Luka and Kyrie??? THJ is the next highest scorer at 14 PPG, but that is an extremely inconsistent 14 PPG. After THJ it is all single digit scorers. Especially with Luka taking 15 games off and Kyrie about 20 games off. Where are points coming from?

Mavs need to give Lawson a shot. The dude looked stellar on defense in the summer league.
In your minutes breakdown you didn't even mention A J Lawson. I know he's on a two-way deal, but he will be an NBA player some day (has length, can create his own shot and can shoot the 3….) and he's probably more NBA ready than the rookies if you're honest.

I was a huge Exum guy when he was drafted. Itâs been disappointing but after last year Iâm going to approach it with no expectations but an open mind.
