What’s scary is this is Larry at his absolute physical worst: his spine was damn near broken, he had 2 junk Achilles, and painful bone spurs in both feet. It’s bittersweet seeing the “Old Bird” highlights. He was so smart and crafty that he could still dominate games in such a crippled state. His body just needed to cooperate enough to get him through the game, which was 50-50 at best.
The man was physically damaged and he's still out there playing against much younger, athletic, injury free players and still pumping in 30 plus points, no other player could do this, none!
