Back then, every fan dreaded when Joey Crawford and/or Dick Bavetta refereed because we all knew they usually would ego trip and inevitably make themselves the center of attention.
What’s worse everybody had to tip toe around them because if you pissed them off in some way, stuff like TD getting ejected for laughing happens.
One thing I’m thankful about refs today, they’re much more low key.

this is embarrassing, this isnt bad reffing, this is very clearly corrupt. that ref absolutely had money directly/indirectly on this in some way.
i obviously assume nothing came of this probably not even a fine and he kept reffing for decades.
