If they did not give it to him, it would look really bad. Meaning we would draft a player who then turns into a star and then we trade him because we don’t pay him what he is due. I’m glad they did it and before the season starts. He will probably be ranked 20th of the highest paid players lol.

I think everyone is forgetting that JB is one the best 2 way players in basketball, has improved every year he’s been in the league. He’s been 6 wins or less from a championship 4 times already in his career playing for 3 different coaches and he would’ve been the best player in the NBA All Star game this past year if it wasn’t for his Celtic brother.
No more ball handling issues? Good for him for sticking it out but at the same time….as these prices get so high, we can't hear "we just didn't have it tonight" anymore.
They are handicapped if this doesn't work out. Trade may work but it's difficult
It means he better be able to guard UDFA’s while not dribbling a game 7 ECF loss away. It means that he’s expected to lead the team to a win when our best player gets hurt in the first two minutes. It means expectations have changed and you have to deliver because Boston is the last place you want to be a top market contract not producing top market results. He needs to get better.
That's a lot of money for a player that can't dribble the ball for a living. Smh

Mixed feelings about this. I know how good he is! He's gotten a ton of crap for his ECF play this past year. JB is a grinder and strikes me as someone who works on a flaw in order to get it right. With that said there are times it seems like Jaylen's head is elsewhere at times during the game and that's where a lot of his blunders happen, brain farts basically. Can't go to his left worth the shit which is crazy considering how athletic he is w/ that midrange game a lot of midrange shooters who are right LOVE their left hand. Needs to limit himself to 3 dribbles max. Catch, face the rim and probe the defense! That goes for JT as well lol! Don't always have to try and make the big play, now they have a reliable 3rd Musketeer- KP. Jaylen is very good but has holes in his game, BUT they're fixable!
If this doesn't work out, it'll be hard to dump him off in a trade with all that money we're dishing out! What happens with Tatum next year? If we lock these 2 up in max deals. Will we be able to get other free agents? Rob W is going to want some money assuming he's healthy when his contracts up. Like I said, mixed feelings about this. Congrats though, I'd kill for 1/10 of that contract LMAO!
