With the NBA season fastly approaching, we now have to take a look at the Raptor’s Depth. For the last couple of seasons, the Raptors have struggled with having high-quality players coming off the bench. We can only rely on our starts so much before the bench unit comes in. Some big decisions ae going to have to be made by Darko and his team on who the starting point guard will be and how that will affect the other positions around them. Scottie Barnes has the ability to play the 1 or the 3 making him an ideal candidate to start at point guard. Dennis Schroder is another option that can be used but would push Scottie Barnes to the Small Forward position and leave someone else out.

The depth is better this year than last tbh
This shows that the Raptors are in the same position when Rudy Gay was with the team. Until he got shipped out, we had too many players that play the same position. Same thing now. The problem is that all those guys are valuable and you just cant give em away for nothing or let them walk and replace them with just whoever.because we'd see a huge drop in talent. I can see why the Front Office is spinning it's wheels trying to figure this out.

Barnes is starting to tak like he isn’t is crazy.
AI was a undersized two guard with a big pg. that is a common build Scottie at the one is fine but it should have been Freddie off all guarding pgs. And then of pascal and poetl. Trent off bench now we have issues with Freddie gone because staring Dennis over Gary is a waste of Gary’s youth and value since Dennis has been a back up and journey man. This is why trading pascal relieves a lot of issues although it sucks. And if pascal could just pass more and be the third option again it would be great.
Dennis will be a very good player for us.
There is way more depth than you realize. With Nurse gone you may see guys getting a real chance. The Raptors depth is with its forwards. Get them the ball. Freddy was a good player, but not a pass first guy. A good traditional point guard will improve this team greatly and it looks like they have a shot to have a couple. No matter what people want to believe Barnes is a ways away from what Raptors fans fantasize about, but he couuld be a major contributor off the bench for now. If no more changes are made this team finishes between 3 and 6. Other than Boston and Milwaukee there is not much strength in the East. Give this new coach the chance to reverse Nurse's terrible coaching and you might be surprised just how deep they are.
