what u people hear as “groaning” is a man who is dramatically underappreciated by Celtics fans & media while a guy who came in after him, never had to work his way up the pecking order & set records for most turnovers in a postseason while choking in the Finals is NEVER scrutinized.

For me one of JB’s most important comments at the signing was his positive regard for Kristaps Porzingis. The team still needs to come together and develop good chemistry. Another point to consider is that JB has improved his game every year. Looking forward to watching this newly minted Celtic team! 🍀

i dont think we can ignore the status n confidence that comes with a supermax contract. i think that alone will improve his decision making n mental dominance on the game. the mental side of the game isn't marginal look at how much better lebron was his second stint in Cleveland at time his athleticism was clearly beginning to fade.
also we've seen guys like al n brook lopez add skillsets late in their career. so there's still a lot of upside. he's only now entering his prime
Jb's never been great on defense?? he shut down siakm like harden vs raptors in the bubble… even tho he did fall asleep on OG on that game winner. He has moments of lapses but we've def seen him play elite defense

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatoom will never win together. Guys don't have to like each other but must complement each other. They don't.
JAylen’s attitude here is a night and day difference and the contract is no more than half of the reason. The fans and the media have seen Jaylen as the #2 on the team for years but in a locker with Smart he felt like the 3rd option or 3rd most important player. His plus minus will improve because he feels more ownership in the success or failure of the C’s than ever before!
Not saying I want Brown traded but if if if they decided to trade Brown in a year, a package revolving around Murray and Hunter from Atlanta could make a lot of sense.
