Only player to give Jordan fits defensively

You get angry and sad thinking about the alternate reality where Len Bias and Reggie Lewis live and take over the reins from Bird, Parish, and McHale and help keep the Celtics’ contenders through the ’90s.

Given the Bronny James situation, the timing is almost scary.

I was 9 and devastated. Still crazy for an athlete in his prime to go out like that.

If young players want to learn how to be active socially and make a difference in the community, Reggie Lewis is a player/ person who should be emulated. He made a difference by action, not press release.

how good was Reggie Lewis? using a comparison to a player who has played in the last 20 years. was he better than Paul George? Vince Carter?

I loved Reggie Lewis. So unfair to him and his family.

I remember being so devastated as a kid….there is still a mural with him on it in my neighborhood.

Another fun fact about Reggie Lewis:

He was the only Celtic player to ever get at least 100 pts 100 reb 100 assists and 100 blocks all in one season.

Reggie’s death hit me hard. I stopped watching hoops.

My first favorite Celtics player. This day was incredibly hard to process as a 9 y/o. I still have my No. 35 jersey.

I recommend The Boys of Dunbar if you wanna read about Reggie’s high school team with Muggsy, Reggie Williams and Dave Wingate.
