New York Giants | Joe Schoen Is a BOSS! Andrew Thomas Extended! Training Camp Day 1 Recap.
Joe Schoen has tied up all loose ends going into the 2023 NFL season before Day 1 of training camp! Yesterday agreeing to a 1 year 10.1 million dollar deal, with the possibility of 11 million for Saquon Barkley, who participated in camp today, and locking up our CORNERSTONE ALL-PRO LT Andrew Thomas for the next SEVEN seasons by agreeing to a 5 year 117 million dollar extension with Daniel Jones’s, larger than life, blindside protector! Schoen has held master class in getting The Giants organization back on track, and there’s no reason not to be optimistic about The Giants heading in to the 2023 season, and beyond!

I do video, and live stream content covering The New York Yankees, New York Giants and Los Angeles Lakers, which has also lead to the nickname “LakerDog”.
You may ask yourself, “If Baddog is a Knicks fan, why does he do Los Angeles Laker content?”
The Reason for this is because I have a family, and because of my work, and gym schedule, streaming all of The Knicks games would be impossible, so I began covering The Lakers in late 2018, because most of their games are played at 9:00PM EST, or later.

I would have never thought in a million years we would hire someone that would make me completely forget about the monster that lived under my bed aka David f'ing Gettleman lol but boyyyyyy Joe Shmo is knocking it out the park!
Yeah he rules alright treats the face of our organization like trash!!! Yeah He's Awesome! 👌I have liked alot of moves he's made but Slapping Saquan in the face wasn't necessary at all!
Sorry this is long, but I want to put mu whole balanced view out there!
Schoen and co have had a great off-season on paper, especially given the little cap space he still has to operate with – but if (and it could happen) it does prove that we aren't as good as we were last season it is important we don't lose faith because we arguably overachieved last season. That comment is not at all a knock on anybody associated with the Giants, but that bounce of the ball went our way a lot last year (and the effort of the team meant they deserved that luck) and may not do so again this year as we are still in the rebuild with Schoen operating with little cap space – and of course the draft picks may take time to settle in too!
But on paper, I like the draft (Banks in particular might need time to adjust given the position is one of the hardest to step up to NFL Level), am glad to see Lawrence and Thomas getting long term deals as they are very good players, Barkley is back (after both sides made us suffer as fans!) and lastly I am very happy to see the way we have done the deals this off-season (we can get out of things!) if things don't work out for the players re-signing or joining on FA have been done in case things don't work out (and obviously I hope they do as there are questions on whether Jones can continue his progress and whether Waller and Campbell can stay healthy!).
Overall, my point is that I am stressing patience with the team this season regardless of how things work out as I believe in this coaching and Scouting team – I don't always agree with their decisions, but I believe in them and will trust their judgement!

You may say that you never hated Daniel Jones but you were definitely down on him and criticized him hard by way of where he was drafted. Chase Young hangover syndrome. You crapped on Dave Gettleman big time for that. A lot of times you showed the same impatience and frustrations as the rest of the blind sportswriters who refused to look at the bigger picture.
You and plenty others rode the negative narratives about DJ that was without substance (can't read defenses, poor pocket awareness, not a good leader, etc, etc, etc.). Ummh, It's kinda hard to read defenses, develop pocket awareness and be a good leader when the line in front of you can't sustain a block worth a fart. DJ was on his back just like Eli and you guys were unfair.
