for those who can’t see it, he’s been side-lined by the Puerto Rico national team as a precaution due to his stress reaction at the end of last season, as he’s still recovering from it!!! that can’t be a good sign right? that he’s taking more than 5 months to heal a stress reaction?

Really unfortunate but his whole game revolves around his high motor so he needs to give himself more time to heal for him to contribute to Puerto Rico and the Pelicans.

Stress reactions are overuse injuries. Considering Jose played international ball last summer right before training camp, that could have contributed to his injury in February.
This isn’t a new injury or a reinjury or anything that’ll prevent Jose from playing when the season starts. This is the Pels holding him back so that there’s less risk of a repeat injury during the season.
