The 70s Trailblazers are probably famous for two things –
1. Their 1977 championship
2. Bill Walton’s prime getting cut short after 2 seasons
Bill Walton is often referred to as the NBA’s biggest what if, but throughout the 1970s, the blazers had tons of other misfortune and potential that make them one of the biggest what if teams of all time.

If I could chill with one player, kick back, and just listen to stories, Bill Walton is my pick.
A one hit wonder squad in 77 unfortunately. They won more games the following season actually but Walton was breaking down constantly
Can you do a video about Elmore Smith
Edit it's funny how much tampering happened back than in the nba
Itâs always shocking when I see you only have 3k subs.. the quality and the intensive research that goes into your videos is akin to a channel with hundreds of thousands. You will no doubt get there. Your channel is a gem. You are single handily preserving and spreading the history of the game
Absolutely love watching 70's NBA clips a true lost gem era of basketball. Talent dispersing from the ABA along with league expansions gave us teams in the playoffs & finals we've yet to see return or go on winning streaks the likes not seen since.
You're my favorite YouTuber
The fact that Bill Walton was only a two time all star is mental. Injuries really screwed him.
Crazy underrated blazers team that no one talks about much anymore. Can you please do a video on the cavaliers team that reached the conference finals in 1976? It seems no one talks about the teamâs history besides their matchups against the bulls and Lebron tenures there.
Thank you. This was very well done.
Dude just skipped the 1974 Championship. Never mentioned Jamal Wilkes, Rick Barry, or Al Attiles.
I remember. Still have a spot by my "77 championship mug waiting for a second one….
Please do a mcadoo video
Another great video. I remember watching that team, thinking they were going to be great for a long time. Walton was young, and all the guys around him knew how to play a ream game.
